Practicing welding, witnessing a robotic arm process parts and listening to jingles.

These were just a few of the eye-opening moments during a tour Ripon High School sophomores took of Alliance Laundry Systems last week Friday.

Students spent the morning walking though the facility learning about each department. During the tour, as Alliance personnel gave explanations about their station and department, the sophomores would write down answers to the trivia questions on a worksheet.

A few stations resulted in smiles or surprises as the students learned about the jobs and skills employed at Alliance along with its use of technology, such as robotic arms or musical jingles to call for assistance at stations along the factory assembly lines.
